    up

Yes. Each CD is insured for $15 including loss or damage.

    up
  • Is my iPod / MP3 player insured when I ship it for you to load?

Yes it is…that is one of the reasons for the $25 loading fee. We insure you device for up to $400.00 during transit.

    up
  • So, I can drop off the Yoesie Shipping Kit at any authorized UPS drop-off location or call and UPS will pick it up?

    Absolutely.

    up
  • If I live in the Los Angeles area, do I get a discount or will speed up my order if I drop off and pick up the CDs myself?

No. Our order handling process is completely integrated with our shipping partner, UPS, and it actually increases our costs when we don’t follow the standard order handling process. So, to keep costs down for us both, we request that all customers use our UPS shipping option. Most Los Angeles area UPS shipments will arrive within one day.

    up
  • Do I have to pay for shipping?

    NO…Shipping is FREE.

    up
  • Do I send my CD’s in their jewel cases when I ship my CD's to Yoesie for conversion?

No. The Yoesie Shipping Kit will include specially designed CD spindles to offer the best overall protection for your CD’s AND decrease the shipping costs.

    up
  • How long does it take to create my new Digital Music Library?

Once we receive your collection, we will process your order within 48 hours, ship times not included. Order sizes, quantity of CD's requiring Yoesie's - CD Repair Service, Lossless Archiving, multiple encodings, special requests, or device loading may affect the processing time. You can select Expedited Service for a flat fee of $25 during your checkout if processing time is a critical factor for you…and we will guarantee a 24 hour turnaround.

    up
  • Does Yoesie require a minimum number of CD's?

Yes, there is a 50 CD minimum for an order.

    up
  • Do I get my CD's back after they are converted?

    Absolutely

    up
  • When I placed my order, I ordered 250 CD’s but I ended up having a few more CD's than that. How do you handle this?

No problem, we’ll process the extra CD’s using the same settings as the original order and charge you accordingly for the additional CD’s. You will know the exact number of CD’s we processed from your new Digital Music Catalog, which is included free with your order.

    up
  • What is a Digital Music Catalog?

The Yoesie Digital Music Catalog is a FREE full color portfolio of your new Digital Music Library. It’s in HTML format with clickable links to artist information, tour dates and other music. It shows the number of CD’s converted and alphabetically catalogs your order using Artist, Album, Track and Album Art. The Yoesie Digital Music Catalog is a great Yoesie advantage offered at no cost and is included with every order.

    up
  • What conversion settings and method does Yoesie recommend?

We recommend you Lossless Archive your CD’s using FLAC…and also encode a copy at 192 kbps VBR using the MP3 format. This will allow you to play your music on almost every device with an excellent optimization of quality and size AND longevity.

    up
  • What if I want to order multiple formats…like FLAC to archive, 192kbps for my ipod and then 128kbps for my cell phone…can I do that?

Yes, multiple conversions are a common request, because there are many uses for your new Digital Music Library. We can add any additional format to your order for an additional $.25 per CD…Just select it on the order page.

    up
  • Why does it cost more for the additional conversions?

It takes longer to process your order and requires more materials. It adds processing time and increases the DVD’s sent for each CD being encoded...so we need to charge for that extra time and material.

    up
  • WAIT, it costs more if I want to Archive my collection like you keep saying?

Yes. If you choose to lossless archive your CD collection it will cost an additional $.25 per CD. It takes a lot longer to process your order and requires a heck of a lot more DVD’s…but it’s a lot cheaper than re-ripping your CD’s when technology changes.

    up
  • So, do I have to buy a hard drive from you or supply you a hard drive to ARCHIVE my music?

No…We’ll send your lossless archived format on DVD. We can load your hard-drive to streamline your order…just select that option during checkout.

    up
  • How many converted CD’s fit on a DVD?

As a rule of thumb, using our suggested encoding options (192 kbps, mp3 VBR); about 50 CD’s will fit on one DVD. Though, this is not exact because every album is a different size. If you lossless archive using FLAC we can fit approximately 14 CD’s on each DVD

    up
  • But, I don’t have to Lossless Archive it do I…I can just get MP3’s if I want?

Yes you can just get your CD’s converted to MP3 or any other offered ‘lossy’ format. We still carefully and professionally process your order with all Yoesie’s standard features, including all the ‘Free Stuff’.

    up
  • What if I want an encoding or sampling rate other than Yoesie’s default?

No problem, simply change the encoding or sampling rate to the one you would like when you place your order.

    up
  • So, Yoesie can convert my music into other formats like AAC, Org Vorbis, WMA, Monkey’s Audio, Apple’s Lossless, and AIFF?

Yes. You select these formats during checkout.

    up
  • Is Monkey’s Audio a good format to ARCHIVE IT, and can I substitute it for FLAC or Apples Lossless?

Yes. Monkey’s Audio files, or APE files are another ‘Lossless’ format we offer. They tend to compress a bit giving you a smaller file size, but take longer to decompress when you’re transcoding…But many people like the space savings of APE files.

    up
  • Can Yoesie convert my music using Variable Bit Rate (VBR) sampling?

Yes. Yoesie provides this option free of charge and recommends it: VBR offers an excellent optimization of size and music quality.

    up
  • Can Yoesie convert my music using Constant Bit Rate (CBR) sampling?

Yes. However, Yoesie believes that the more modern Variable Bit Rate (VBR) sampling offers a better optimization of quality and file size. Converting your music using CBR is a standard option and offered free of charge.

    up
  • Can you load my iPod or other digital music player for me?

Yes. Just select this option during checkout and send it in the Yoesie Shipping Kit and we’ll preload your digital music library with that ‘Lossy’ format for a flat $25 fee.

    up
  • Why is there a $25 fee to load my iPod?

It increases our shipping cost (insurance and weight) and the time it takes to process your order is increased.

    up
  • What other devices can you load?

We can load almost any type of MP3 device or portable digital audio player as well as most types of media servers including:

    • Request
    • Imerge
    • Elan
    • Escient
    • Sonos
    • Integra
    • Russound
    • Qsonix
    • Digital Future Solutions

Shoot us an email with your specific needs and if you have any questions.

    up
  • How will my new digital music library be organized?

When you receive you new digital library it will be organized in this format:
    “Client Name”\Format\Artist\Album\Track # - Track Title
So, for example, if your name was John Doe and you ordered mp3’s…it would look like this:
    John Doe\MP3\The Beatles\Abbey Road\01 – Come Together

    up
  • Will Yoesie process music formats other than CD’s? (EX: Records and cassette tapes)

Unfortunately we do not offer this service at this time. Yoesie’s service only applies to purchased CD's.

    up
  • Will Yoesie process ‘Copy Protected’ CD’s?

No, copy protected CD’s will not be converted as this is a breach of copyright restrictions.

    up
  • So, will Yoesie process ‘home made’ CD’s?

No, only commercially released CD’s will be converted. Yoesie strongly supports the arts and believes that what an artist creates has real value, and we won’t diminish that value by copying ‘copied’ music. If we do receive any ‘home made’ CD’s, we will charge you for them as part of your order as if we converted them, and send them back.

    up
  • I have some language CD’s, audio books, and some motivational/self-improvement CD’s: Can Yoesie process these disks?

Yes. We can create a Lossless Archive and convert them to any ‘Lossy’ format you select.

    up
  • So I could listen to them on my ipod?

Yes, if you select mp3 or AAC.

    up
  • I have some foreign music CD’s…can Yoesie convert and Tag those?

Converting the music into a digital format is no problem, and we will most likely be able to find the correct Meta Data tag for them, we will do our best to find the data. Your Digital Music Catalog will show what we were able to tag.

    up
  • Can Yoesie repair my damaged or scratched CD's?

In most cases, yes we can process ‘damaged’ CD’s. First, our advanced error correction process is the best available and will auto C2 Check and automatically modifies the speed of the encode cycle to trap any read errors prior to encoding. We also include a Burst Mode check and a Jitter Check – using a zero threshold limit to ensure that audio files are extracted and encoded without errors.

BUT, if our system can’t process the CD… it will reject it send it to Yoesie's in-house CD Repair Station. It then enters the conversion process fresh. If a CD is unable to be repaired, we will return it with your other CD's and let you know about the problem. These un-repairable CD’s will still be charged as part of your order.

    up
  • Can Yoesie convert video as well as audio?

Unfortunately we do not offer this service at this time.

    up
  • Does Yoesie provide this service outside of the United States?

No. Currently Yoesie only serves the United States.

    up
  • Does Yoesie ‘watermark’ my new Digital Music Library?

No. It’s your music. We could, and other companies do, watermark your Digital Music Library to help ensure artists rights…but that would be infringing on your rights.

    up
  • Does Yoesie keep a copy of my music?

No. Yoesie converts every CD we receive individually…It is illegal for us to keep YOUR music.
